Ulysses by James Joyce – a guide through the novel led by Dr. John Froude

October 10 @ 7:30 pm

- £10.00 at Ropetackle Arts Centre

It is 100 years since the publication of James Joyce’s modernist masterpiece, Ulysses.  Many people have an unread copy of this “difficult” book on their shelves.  Dr. John Froude is a lifelong enthusiast for the book and his aim is to show how the difficulties are merely apparent and to open the audience to the joys of Joyce.

He will tell the story of Leopold Bloom’s day of wandering in Dublin, illustrated in pictures, extracts and music, assisted by readings from Janet Behan (Molly Bloom) and Dermot Boyd (Leopold Bloom), and music from Mervyn Wallis and Tom Walker.
