October 5 @ 7:30 pm
- £12.00 at Ropetackle Arts Centre
Attila the Stockbroker and Henry Normal have known each other since the ‘ranting poetry’ scene of the 1980s.
Henry toured with Pulp and went on to be a hugely successful TV comedy writer (Mrs Merton, The Royle Family) earning a BAFTA award for his company Baby Cow Productions. He is now concentrating on his first love – poetry, frequently featured on BBC Radio. Henry’s new BBC Radio 4 show ‘A Normal Community’ goes out for the first time on Radio on Thursday 7 July at 6.30pm
Southwick’s Attila the Stockbroker is celebrating 40 years as a poet and musician. His Collected Works was published last year and he has released a dub poetry album, 40 Years In Rhyme’, featuring Kingsley Salmon, What’s Left Dub and Rebel Control. He’ll be performing some of it tonight as part of his anniversary tour.
