About Shoreham Wordfest

Since 2011

Shoreham Wordfest has a growing reputation across the South East, supporting local creativity and attracting high profile authors and speakers to Shoreham-by-Sea.

Shoreham Wordfest has a growing reputation across the South East, supporting local creativity and attracting high profile authors and speakers to Shoreham-by-Sea.

Founded by local writers and literary enthusiast, Wordfest has featured an annual autumn festival of words and ideas since 2011.  There are now year-round events and community projects.

Shoreham Wordfest is a Community Interest Organisation, registered charity number 1163258.  The Trustees are Rosalind Turner, David Johnson, Tom Cutler, Janet Pressley, Janet Behan and Ivor Gaber.

Our patrons are the authors Simon Brett, Elly Griffiths and William Shaw, along with actress Carol Cleveland.

The programme and event organisation is delivered by a team of over 20 hard-working volunteers, and our talented contributors and technical team.
