The Education Coordinator for Farley Arts Trust, gives a talk to complement the Skyways Gallery exhibition throughout this year’s Shoreham Wordfest. Roland Penrose was the leading British Surrealist artist, biographer and friend of Picasso and many other artists who introduced Surrealism to Britain in the famous exhibition of 1936. Lee Miller was also at the start of the
Surrealist movement through her connection with Man Ray, and her own early photographic career. The presentation explores the concept of surrealism, and how Farleys in East Sussex is associated with this artistic style.
